On June 25 Expert rating agency announced the assignment of uaAÀÀ grade credit rating on national scale and uaA1 grade investment rating on Expert Rating scale. uaAÀÀ grade credit rating means the highest level of the borrower's solvency in comparison with other Ukrainian borrowers and debt instruments. uaA1 grade rating of investment attractiveness means high level of investment attractiveness for development of the majority sectors of economy. IPO meetings-2008 in Kyiv Hyatt Regency hotel
On March 26, 2008 an ‘Ukrainian IPO meetings’ international conference was held in Kyiv Hyatt Regency hotel. The organizers of the conference were Ukrainian society of financial analysts (USFA), DAGDA Company and RA Expert-Rating. Deutsche Bank represented on the conference by Bozena Trydos, Managing Director-Head of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS, Depositary Receipts Group became an official international partner of the conference. The conference program consisted of six sections. The presentations by representatives of four stock exchanges: Dr. Albrecht Burger, Senior Vice President , Deutsche Borse Group,Simon Lim Yong Hiang, Director Listings, Singapore Exchange Ltd. , Andrea Isler, Relationship Manager, Issue and Investor Relations, SWX Swiss Exchange, Geoffrey Tang, Senior Manager ,Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. (HKEx) attracted the largest interest from the participants in the conference. The conferences with similar level of responsibility and representativeness of world leading stock exchanges and audit and consulting companies had not been held in Ukraine before.

The confirmation of VAB Re re-insurance company rating assessment
On March 14 2008 Expert Rating RA has confirmed the assessment of àa- stability rating (uaAA- on national scale) to VAB Re JSIC. The amount of gross premiums increased to 68.5% and 170.52% in comparison with 2006 and 2005 respectively. The gross premiums annual growth rates leave behind the market showings.

Rating of investment companies
In January-February 2008 the analytical service of Expert-Rating RA has conducted the research of development of the market of joint investing institutes. 53 corporative and mutual funds of 26 asset management companies were covered by research. Only funds which share’s price data is routinely being published by their asset management company were included into rating. The effectiveness of fund management was appraised after comparison of yield and risk. The Sharp factor was the keyword parameter in effectiveness measurement. Ukrainian Association of Investment Business and RA “Expert Rating” have signed cooperation memorandum. UAIB and RA “Expert Rating” have come to agreement about creation of joint project team. It is aimed to create system of ratings which should assist investors in their choice of appropriate asset management companies. UAIB became the first association of professional participants of the financial market, with whom RA “Expert Rating” concluded cooperation agreement. The Rating Centre of Expert Ukraine IG in common with Commission in banking analysis of Ukrainian Society of financial analyzers (USFA) for the first time in the Ukraine’s history have conducted the rating of Ukrainian banks. Banks whose net assets by 2005 year-end were worth less than UAH 200m had not been taken into consideration.
